October 27 Are you alright? When I left office in the darkness, an acquaint voice came out “are you alright”. I stopped, turned around my head, opened my mouth with a mechanical smile:”yes, alright”… Maybe my face was showing my bad mood today, but whatever the person cares me or not, my answer is always sweet. Smile was shown to others, while grief was buried in the deep heart. Am I really alright? Only I know though I hope you know. But when you ask, I smile… I am a poor hunter, hunting for the best wheat in the crop, though there is no best one in the world, I was lost, tired, fell down but still hoped the coming of a nice wheat. I am a poor student, facing the unsecure PhD life alone, without funding, without strong self-disciplining, without broad knowledge and even without supervision. Future seems grey. I am a poor child, thinking purely and simply, without any realization of deceiving, the lost of 500 pounds dismissed all the hard work this year. World is beyond the expectation of a child. Thinking, thinking, seems an endless thinking… But suddenly, I am awake. I found who I am: I am Kiwi, an optimist, it’s too hard to knock me down. Well, I may be a poor hunter, but I believe hunter’s endeavor will be fruitful; Well, I may be a poor student, but I believe the future is in my own hand with the premise of hard work; Well, I may be a child, but child maintains the best goodness and can learn not to be deceived twice. My dear younger sister and friends, don’t worry about me. It’s just a slight eruption of a tiny volcano when the pressure is a bit high. I am still the fruity Kiwi, always typing “haha” at the end of every sentence, haha. If you ask me the question “are you alright” now, a charming smile is a gift for you, because I know and will do what I should do though it might be very hard. Remembering, smiler never loses and frowner never wins. My friends, I will show you smile and also make you laugh, especially for the promising wheat..haha And the last question, “Am I alright now?” The answer is a definitely yes. Comments (4)
